Do you need an original idea for a birthday, anniversary, or retirement party? Can’t decide on cake flavors and color schemes? Everyone loves chocolate! You can’t go wrong with a chocolate theme. Your event can be as simple or elaborate as you desire.
And chocolate is not just for kids—adults will go nuts for a chocolate party. The key is customization. If at least one item on your party list is customized with the name or photo of every guest, then everyone will feel special! In our custom-printing process, food grade coloring is used in a full-color printing process to replicate photos and messages directly onto a smooth chocolate surface. Guests can keep the chocolate image as a keepsake, or “absorb the message” and just eat it! Here are some ideas for organizing and decorating a chocolate ‘edible image’ party.
Here are some ideas!
Food ideas:
- Cocoa with flavored candy stirrers and gourmet marshmallows
- Cake, brownies or chocolate mousse with a selection of gourmet sauces and flavored whipped creams
- Chocolate cheesecake
- Lighter fare: chocolate fondue with fresh fruit, chocolate covered strawberries, chocolate sorbet with fresh berries.
Activities:
- Watch a chocolate themed movie, like Charlie and The Chocolate Factory, Chocolat or Willie Wonka. Don't want to spend all that time watching a full movie? You can't go wrong with the hilarious "Chocolate Factory" episode of "I Love Lucy". It's available on the season 2 DVD with the official title of "Job Switching".
- Red wine and chocolate pairings (adults only, of course)
Decorations:
- Chocolate brown balloons, paper plates and napkins can be combined with many complimentary colors, like bright pink, light mint green, icy pale blue or aqua.
- Chocolate centerpieces—you can find turkeys for Thanksgiving, bunnies for Easter, or make your own lollipop bouquets with customized edible lollies featuring your party theme.
Edible image party favor ideas:
- Kids’ soccer teams—a chocolate image of the whole team in an ornate chocolate frame for the coach, plus lollipops with each team member’s photo for the kids.
- Anniversary—an edible chocolate frame and photo of the married couple.
- Bridal shower—chocolate lollipops with edible images of … we’ll leave it to your wicked imagination.
- Super Bowl party—chocolate lollipops with the two competing team logos.
- Christmas—chocolate tree ornaments with an edible image.
- Sales team celebration—assemble ‘thank you’ gift bags containing gourmet chocolate treats and cocoa, include your logo and message on an edible chocolate business card.
The possibilities are endless!
What fanastic ideas, being that chocolate is my best friend. LOL I have often said imagination is your only limit. Mine just needs a little help sometimes and you just gave it a boost. Thanks

Well, chocolate is a pretty good snack for many people, so a choco-themed party could work. And yeah, adults love chocolate as much as children. With that in mind, you can plan a light-hearted party that would be fun for everyone in attendance.
